Cane chiuso dentro un'auto rovente salvato dal poliziotto, quando lasciare il proprio animale domestico chiuso in auto può risultare fatale.
Se c’è una cattivissima abitudine fra la gente, specialmente in questo periodo dell’anno, è quella di lasciare chiuso in auto il cane, auto che possono diventare letteralmente delle macchine mortali.
In molti ogni anno protestano contro questa pessima abitudine che puntualmente si ripresenta sotto forme e contesti differenti ma con l’esito sempre maledettamente identico, noi siamo fra quelli che non accettano questo comportamento che si potrebbe definire quasi incivile.
L’ennesimo caso si è verificato qualche giorno fa in Inghilterra, nel Wiltshire, dove un poliziotto del luogo ha salvato la vita ad un cane in pericolo di vita, chiuso in un’auto rovente, infatti secondo una successiva stima, si è calcolata una temperatura sui 40 gradi celsius all’interno della vettura.
Il poliziotto eroe porta il nome di Martyn Powell, l’ufficiale è intervenuto in seguito a delle segnalazioni di persone che, nei pressi dell’auto incriminata, hanno preferito avvertire le autorità.
Per nostra fortuna è stato girato anche un video dallo stesso agente Powell che ha voluto registrare tutto anche per sensibilizzare su un tema che ancora al giorno d’oggi non viene affrontato con il giusto peso.
Nel video si vede chiaramente come il poliziotto rompa, tramite una barra di ferro, il finestrino della macchina grigia per poi rassicurare il povero cane che sicuramente si sarà spaventato. In pochi secondi l’agente di polizia riesce ad aprire lo sportello della vettura, libera il cane da alcuni pezzi di vetro e poi lo prende per il guinzaglio per farlo scendere in sicurezza.
L’evento è stato raccontato dalla pagina Facebook della polizia del Wiltshire, inoltre il proprietario dell’auto e del cane è stato contattato per chiedere spiegazioni su quanto accaduto.
Il proprietario si è dimostrato pienamente pentito, ha compreso l’errore e ha promesso che non accadrà più nulla del genere.
La polizia è giunta anche ad un accordo con l’uomo pentito, quest’ultimo infatti, dovrà versare una somma di denaro in beneficenza ad una organizzazione specializzata in salvataggi animali, un gesto che verrà apprezzato e una storia che servirà forse ad educare qualcuno.

This summer we are reminding dog owners to be careful about leaving their pets in cars on hot days.Last week a police officer smashed through a car window to rescue a dog, who had been left without water and had become tangled on their lead.PC Martyn Powell, from Wiltshire South Community Policing Team, said: "We received a call from a member of the public who was concerned about the welfare of a dog, which had been left in a vehicle for a number of hours on a hot day. "Although the windows were opened a slightly, the dog didn’t have any water and had become tangled on their lead restricting their movement within the vehicle. I was concerned for the welfare of the dog and I took the decision to smash the window of the car to free the dog."Police made contact with the owner, who was honest and apologised for their actions and was given words of advice about animal welfare. The owner also agreed to pay a £50 donation to The Dog’s Trust.PC Powell added: "We spoke to the owner, who was very remorseful and, as we had no other concerns about the dog, we agreed the best course of action was a community resolution in the form of a charity donation. "The temperature within vehicles can more than double in an hour even with the windows are open. "On this particular day it was 21 degrees Celsius meaning that the temperature in the vehicle was in excess of 40 degrees Celsius. "Prolonged exposure to this temperature can be dangerous to people but more so to our pets.
